Hi, we are One Beach at A Time in short OBAT. We are a small-scale NGO with big ambitions. Our goal is to clean up the beaches and sea of marine litter.
We are based in the small town of Molyvos and will start our operations from there doing so beach by beach, bay by bay, day by day.
With this approach we want to clean the island of Lesvos first and later on expand to other Greek Islands and who knows maybe do this worldwide.

Our vision is to create a world where oceans and beaches are free from the threat of marine litter. We envision a future where people and wildlife alike can enjoy clean, healthy environments, and where sustainable practices are the norm. Through our work, we strive to inspire and empower individuals to take action and make a positive impact on the environment. Together, we can build a better world #onebeachatatime. The problem of marine litter is a global crisis that threatens the health and well-being of our oceans, beaches, and the creatures that inhabit them. Every year, millions of tons of plastic, cigarette butts, and other waste items enter our marine environments, causing harm to wildlife, ecosystems, and human health. Without urgent action, this problem will only continue to grow and worsen. At One Beach at A Time, we are committed to addressing this issue head-on by engaging individuals and communities to take action and promote positive change. Join us in the fight against marine litter and help us make a difference #onebeachatatime. Read more in the blog
At One Beach at A Time, we believe that everyone has a role to play in solving the problem of marine litter. That's why we are committed to engaging and empowering individuals and communities to take action and make a difference. Our solution, for now, is to organize beach cleanups, educate people about the impacts of marine litter, and advocate for policies that promote sustainability and responsible waste management. By working together #onebeachatatime, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for our oceans, beaches, and the creatures that call them home. We will do this beach by beach, bay by bay, day by day. Read more in the blog
